Mystery Illness, Fall OBSESSED, and Secret Projects- Life Update (Fall Edition)

Hi beautiful humans of the internet! Today I am sitting down and just typing everything out! Life has been all sorts of crazy and I want to bring you all up to date as to what’s been happening over in my world! I did one of these “chat with me” blog posts before and although I enjoy writing them, I also want all of you to enjoy reading them! So please share if you like these posts every now and again or if you prefer to see something else! I’m all ears!

So where to start?! First things first, it’s FALL! Can you believe it?! Wasn’t it just like summer 2 days ago?! I’m a huge sucker for that fall-vibe, crisp air, the colors, beginning of the holidays, and definitely the fashion! I recently decorated for fall and now I’m even more excited! What’s your favorite season?? Aside from it being the best time of year, ever, I recently suffered from being extremely sick. As I’m typing this I’m still not 100% but a lot better than I was a week ago (as I’m typing this a week ago, lol). Around the last week of September, I woke up with what I thought was the stomach bug. To spare ya the details, it was typical symptoms and lasted about 2ish days. By Tuesday I was feeling about 80% better and had an appetite so I ate some dinner and felt sick all over again. This feeling led into Wednesday where I couldn’t take it anymore and went to the doctor. Urine samples were given, blood tests were taken and I was basically scared sh*tless. It reminded me of the pain and suffering I went through before getting diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Long story short, the doctor tested me for all sorts of things one of them being H. Pylori. H. Pylori is bacteria that is in numerous things and is typically present in all of us from a young age. The catch is, some show symptoms and some don’t. It causes ulcers and even stomach cancer. I was terrified. The was the last thing I needed, or wanted. So, typical me, I cried and went home and googled ‘holistic ways to naturally cure H. Pylori’. At this point in time I had no idea if I tested positive for I but I wanted to naturally start treating it if I did. Luckily for me I got a call the next day and was told my blood test for H. Pylori was negative (YES!!! Cue happy tears!) But if I didn’t have H. Pylori, what was wrong with me? And that is where I am currently- trying to find out this mystery illness. And I say mystery because I am still showing symptoms; I can’t eat full nourishing meals without getting sick. So, for now the dr. has me resting as much as I can and eating a ‘light, easily digestible diet’. I’m hoping the symptoms subside on their own because this girl just wants to EAT. So, that’s that and know ya’ll know what referring to on my Instagram posts! If anything changes, I will definitely update you guys!

Although the last several days of September have been not so great for me, I do have amazing things happening and a lot of stuff I am manifesting for the month of October. In the next 2 months, I will be finishing up a lot of my classes for my Coaching cert, there will be an opportunity for YOU to have me as your coach (for FREE), and I have some things up my sleeve for my blog and even my Meditation Teacher Training. Other than those exciting projects I am also wedding planning (we are less than a year away, OMG!!!) and still working part time!

What to expect in the next few months here on Devon Jade—

  • An opportunity to have me as your Health/Wellness Coach OR as your Life Coach for FREE! (Keep your eyes peeled for further info!!!)
  • Meditations created by me, for YOU.
  • Fun, high vibe content coming to the blog! (Think festive!)
  • Curating better quality content for Instagram and sharing more of my life with you other than health and wellness!

I’ve been at this whole blogging thing for over 6 months now and I’m amazed each and every day. I know this is just the beginning and I’m still very new at this but I get so excited to share not only what I love but stuff you guys love as well. This isn’t easy, it’s a learning process and I’m super grateful to have you guys here supporting me. Thank you SOOO much. I love you ALL!

P.S.- if you EVER have ANY ideas you want to see come to fruition, let me know! Shoot me an email, dm, or comment!

XOXO,

D.J.
