My Favorite Meditation Apps

This post is long over due, but better late than never, right?! Today I will be sharing with you my favorite apps for meditation! Over the last several months I have tried multiple meditation videos and apps but I have narrowed it down to just a few that I love. I always find myself going back to these apps when I am feeling uninspired.

Apps for Meditation

Headspace – This was the first meditation app that I used when I began my practice. It provides the right tools when you are just starting out and is super easy to use.

Calm – This is another good app when you are just beginning. It provides you different meditation series for specific topics. (i.e. stress, focus, calm…)

1 Giant Mind – 1 Giant Mind takes you on a 12 step course to help you better understand meditation. Once you complete the 12 steps you will gain access to a 30 day meditation challenge.

Breathe – I like this app because it makes you check in with yourself before you start your meditation. It also allows you to re-check in when you are finished. It has a section that teaches you how to meditate, it tracks your progress, and overall is a really simple app to use.

Sattva – This app has a lot to offer and tracks your progress. You have the option to follow along on one of their provided guided meditations or you can practice on your own with a timer inside the app. You can link playlists and even upgrade to premium to better personalize your practice.

Out of all five of these apps Breathe and Sattva are my favorite. They provide more than just meditation, but also a place to check in with yourself and track your progress.

What is nice about these apps is that they educate the user on meditation before they begin, they are guided meditations (which is perfect when just starting out), and they are FREE (unless you upgrade or buy a special meditation).

These are great tools to use when you are beginning your meditation practice and I am so happy to be sharing them with you!
